My Latest Obsessions

So, you would expect new classes and professors with a new semester. But there are also new obsessions. Some have carried over from last year, like eating chicken salad at lunch or mixing coffee with chocolate milk. But there are some new ones.

"Raisin cookies that look like chocolate chip cookies are the reason I have trust issues" is a joke that's been floating around for a while. Someone tells it, and people laugh and agree, but there's a few people who are laughing out of politeness because they actually secretly like raisins. I'm one of them. I like them even better when they're covered in chocolate. I brought some raisinets with me this semester, and I may or may not eat them every single day. I'm okay with the fact that few others like them. More for me! :)

Another is putting hot chocolate mix in coffee. I discovered this last semester, but having a coffee maker in the dorm room makes it a lot easier to act upon this. I did have the foresight to get a tiny, 5-cup coffee maker instead of a regular 12-cup one. Being able to make only a little bit of coffee at a time is handy when you 1) actually want to sleep at night and 2) prefer to get along with your roommate :)

My final new obsession is the fruit-infused water the caf provides us with. This one totally makes up for the fact that I eat chicken tenders for supper a lot. It is basically healthy, and it tastes good too. So far, my favorite is the pineapple-strawberry-orange. It's also fun to put some lemon in there.
