Honestly, This Post Has No Real Point

One of the things I really love about nursing school is the feeling of comradeship among the students. You know how college students everywhere come together during finals week? It's like that 24/7 for nursing students. Especially after a test, when we all talk about what our back-up plans are. (Mine include being an author, criminal profiler, or early childhood education. Oh! And the usual option of marrying rich ;))

A couple of weeks ago, I talked myself into buying a new camera. It's still just a digital; I looked at DSLRs and got overwhelmed in like .3 seconds, and I didn't really want to invest that much money into it. So I got a Canon that was on sale, and I'm happy with it.

Basically, my sister and the dogs have to put up with their own paparazzi now.

I'm currently in the OB rotation at school, and I love it. I haven't gotten to actually see a delivery yet in the clinical setting, but everything I'm learning is so interesting to me. I don't want to settle on the field I want to specialize in until I've seen a little bit of everything, but I also kinda want to skip Med Surg and just focus on pregnancies and babies right now. Oh well. Maybe in a couple of years.

As a commuter student, it is too easy to procrasticlean. When I lived in a dorm, I could clean to a certain extent, but here at home there is so much to dust and vacuum and straighten. I'm somehow selective in what I clean though. My room desperately needs to be organized, but why do that when I can clean the living room?

Overall, I guess this semester is going decently. I'm a little tired, but that's my own fault: I've started watching "The X-Files." I'm also trying out The Lunar Chronicles series, when I have the time to read a chapter or two before class. Despite these distractions I'm allowing myself, I'm still finding my classes interesting, and I've met some pretty cool people in them. There's also some pretty exciting plans on the horizon that I'm looking forward to. So yeah. Spring semester is shaping up pretty well :)
