So, if you ask me how my spring break was, I'll probably smile and say that it was good. Or that I had food poisoning/stomach bug. Both stories are true, but one sounds somewhat more dramatic than the other :)
Break started with a Bible Quiz. I quizmastered and had a blast. It'd been a couple of months since I'd seen quizzing people, and even longer since I'd quizmastered, so I was glad to be there. It was a great way to start off the week!

We were a quiz team for two great years, but we've best friends for over a decade :) |
Sunday, I woke up in the early early morning, throwing up. I decided that maybe I should skip church and spend the day sleeping, vomiting, and adjusting my heating pad. By Monday, I was feeling a little better, but had neither appetite or energy. I watched a couple of my favorite movies and marathoned Doctor Who and took naps and ate an entire piece of toast.
By Tuesday, I was fed up with being sick and having no appetite (part of the fun of coming home is eating food at home, and I had already missed two days). We had some errands to run, so I got dressed in something besides fleece pants and oversized tshirts and ate some soup. I was pretty much over whatever I had, so it was time for break to actually begin!

Molly has grown so much since Christmas break! |
Wednesday, I read nearly all day. Thursday, I read nearly all day. These were two beautiful days and I may have used the rest of my Amazon gift cards from Christmas buying a series to read on my Kindle. These two days were true vacation, as far as I'm concerned.

Dad came down with a pretty bad cold, so he and Molly took naps nearly as much as I did. |
On Friday, I got to hang out with my best friend and my second-mom nearly all day. For lunch on Saturday, Grandma had my family come up for lunch. And then today, Sunday, my parents and I started to trip back to campus because evidently I still have some classes to go to before I can stay at home again.
So while I don't feel all excited about classes starting again, I do feel rested. Maybe I can finish this semester with only a few gray hairs after all!

When it is so gorgeous outside, it is best to take a favorite book and go
pretend that you have nothing to study for. |
