As I type this post about summer vacation, I'm drinking hot coffee and wearing one of my favorite long-sleeve shirts because it is about 50 degrees outside. Summer vacation is certainly off to a blazing start! (haha see what I did there)
Lame jokes aside, I am glad to be home. I've been staying up late and reading books that I want to read. I made two pies last week and banana bread this week. I have filled out so many job applications. I watched the first season of "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D" with my little sister. and the two of us are teaching Dad's puppy how to play hide-and-go-seek. Strawberry season is quickly approaching, and our blackberry bushes are blooming.
I am happy.
The recovery from the school year has been slow, mostly because I feel guilty about sleeping more than nine hours. It took a couple of times of sleeping for twelve whole hours before I even came close to catching up on sleep. And that didn't even happen until a week after I got home from college. I come from a pretty busy family.
So now I'm job-searching and car-searching, doing chores and random little jobs, not stressing about grades or papers. Summer vacation is pretty great.
