Getting Ready for Finals

Whenever I finish writing a paper, I always feel so intelligent and accomplished.
Then I proofread.

My first ever college finals week was last year, when I took two classes from the local community college. It was fairly easy. The classes were simple, and I had retained all of the information pretty well.
My first real finals week was last semester. I remember petting animals, eating chocolate, falling asleep on my notes, and getting pretty stressed.
I've been preparing for this finals week for about two weeks now. I have three finals tomorrow, and they're all my hardest ones. The rest of the week will be easy if I can just make it through tomorrow.

The weekend of the 18th, my family went to a get-together with a good deal of my extended family. My grandparents made donuts, and Grandma is the Grandmaster of donuts. Krispy Kreme is pretty good, but Grandma's is better. My mother let me know that I was missing out on her donuts, and I was pretty bummed.
A conversation that I had with my mother about those
doughnuts
Later that week, I received a package in the mail. My sweet dad had not only secured a plate of several donuts, he also vacuum-sealed the ziplock bag and prepared the package to be sent with the help of my little sister. Mom mailed it, and I joyfully consumed them, often with coffee because hello, finals.

My family came down this weekend and took a bunch of my stuff home in advance. It was fun
to hang out with them for a bit and eat food from off campus. My parents are the best!
My fabulous suite! The family of one of my suitemates took us out to lunch today. It was delicious, and a great
break from college food!
My roommate and I studied outside today under this
beautiful tree. It was around 80 degrees and there
was a soft breeze that totally made up for all the
bugs.
I am officially done with classes as a freshman. By 8:30 on Wednesday morning, I will be completely done with everything as a freshman. It seems like it has flown by, but then I remind myself of all of those long lectures hours in some of my more boring classes, and I realize that it has indeed been that long.
