We got a puppy, Toby. A sweet little black lab who is good natured but also sasses us in his own cute way.
My fall semester finished up this month too. I did my usual obsessive studying the few days before; I spread out my nursing notes on Dad's big recliner, played Netflix in the background, and worried over the binder full of info that I needed to know. My online classes were infuriating, but they were also the week before my nursing final. It was good to get those out of the way.
The joy of finishing my finals is always the best. Nearly a month of break stretched before me. I've been taking naps without feeling guilty about it! I made brownies. I wrapped presents. Now I'm halfway through break, which is a little sad, but I've been trying to put that aside. Free time without the pressure of textbooks only happens between semesters, so I'm trying to take advantage of these few weeks to rest up.
And Christmas! I adore Christmas. The lights, the food, the music, the gifts... Everything about it is happy. We had our family get-together on Christmas this year. So on Christmas Eve, we did our Christmas. We opened presents from each other and had the grandparents down for lunch. That way, on Christmas, we were able to just get up and go.
So December was pretty nice. A good close to the year. It's one of my favorite months, so I expected nothing less.
