"And, honey, you should see me in a crown!" [insert my roommate snapping her fingers all over the place in fangirl-joy]
If you're a facebook friend of mine, you might have seen the status that I posted this afternoon about how I have a long to-do list this afternoon. But I just finished an item on it, so I decided that writing this post would be my little break before I start the next activity.
So this isn't really procrastinating.
Okay, maybe a little.
But I earned it ;)
Actually, I haven't written a blog post in a while simply because I have been too busy to procrastinate long enough to write this. I've been so busy, in fact, that I received strict instructions to do a couple of necessary assignments this past weekend and ignore the others until Monday. I was pretty stressed last week, and I needed the break. It helped that there wasn't anything major due this week unless I had specifically put that pressure on myself. So I procrastinated most of Saturday and all of Sunday, and it was wonderful. I've been so much more motivated and rested this week than I was last week. I feel like I've accomplished a lot. Last night, I stayed up later than I usually do in order to finish a couple of things, and even that didn't bother me. There's only a few weeks left of this semester, and I'm determined to finish strong. I ran in to the proverbial brick wall last week. This past weekend of true rest, though, was exactly what I needed in order to climb over the wall and keep on.
In other news, the temperature dropped last night. This morning, the campus woke up, reached for all things fleece and sweatery, and shivered from class to class. Good thing I'm a fan of hot chocolate and coffee and tea.
As if I waited until this cold to start drinking any of those three.
