Ready for Break

So, don't tell anyone, but I'm supposed to be working on a paper right now. I'm in the library looking studious and hard-working, though. Surely that counts for something :)

I'm a little bit nervous about how I'll make it through the last two weeks of school after Thanksgiving. I mean, those weeks will have finals and all the joy that comes with them. But this week before Thanksgiving break has been so full of papers and tests and stress that I guess it counts as a test run.

It hasn't been a terrible week. There haven't been any mental breakdowns yet. My roommate and I rate our stress level daily on a chart she drew on a mirror in our room. There was one evening that required the employment of a bouncy ball (which works surprisingly well for stress relief). Last night, our suite engaged in the Butterscotch Chip game.

Wait, you don't know about that?
Lemme teach you:
Each person takes a butterscotch chip and hides it in the other's room. One butterscotch chip per person per game, and you have to tell the other person that you hid a chip in their room (because if you didn't tell them and they didn't find it, it would be really gross). Then the other person tries to find it. You may give that person clues and (but only when necessary) show them where the butterscotch chip is. I don't know why this is so much fun or why it seems to relieve stress, but it does.
And yes. It has to be a butterscotch chip. Nothing else will do.

In essence, I am so excited to survive this really busy week and make it to Thanksgiving break. Even though I will definitely have some work to do at home, I can't wait to see people and sleep in my bed and watch movies with my sis and hang out with my best friend and just be able to rest.

It will be a great week.
