I decided to break through my blogging hiatus to follow the cliche and do a speedy review of the past year.

Finals Week

Well, the past seven days were totally not stressful. Absolutely not. Why would you think that? I only had five tests, a presentation, three papers, and countless panics. No stress there!

Preparation for Finals

This first semester is almost over. Soon, Christmas break will be upon us, and I will be able to head home for a while. I can help decorate for Christmas, bake Christmas-y things, and celebrate Christmas with my family.
But first, Finals Week.

Thanksgiving Break 2014

I'm not really sure how five days can fly by so quickly, but break is already over and that just doesn't seem right.

Ready for Break

So, don't tell anyone, but I'm supposed to be working on a paper right now. I'm in the library looking studious and hard-working, though. Surely that counts for something :)

Catching Up // Brother's Birthday

I have a bowl of pretzels and caramel apple popcorn. My giant Hershey's mug sits nearby, filled with earl grey tea. I've changed to my sweatpants, and textbooks have been tossed up to my bed. I'm ready to attack the many assignments waiting in my binder.
But first, a blog post. :)

The Problem With Sleep

I've been pretty good about getting no less than seven hours of sleep. I know that if I get any less, then I'l just start getting behind. And no one likes it when I get behind on sleep, myself included. Naps can be helpful, but those take up precious minutes.

Blessings

The last three days have been rough. And while today has been better, it is never a bad time to intentionally think about some of the blessings in my life.

This Past Year

My birthday is tomorrow. So I thought that I would take a few minutes and think back on this past year.

Fall Break

My little sister kept reminding me all weekend about how I hadn't written a blog post for a couple of days. Since it has been nearly a week, I decided that she might be right about it being time for a new one :)

Ain't Nobody Got Time For A Nap

I have been exhausted for...well, awhile, I guess.

Exams

I consider two of my classes to be hard. Like, they make me work and study and think. And that's good, because I'm learning so much about how to handle such classes. (When nursing school hits, maybe only half of my hair will turn white. :)) What's really fun, though, is when both classes end up having exams on the same day.

Note to self: catching up on sleep during a weekend when my family comes down just isn't going to happen. But I don't really think I care :)

That Working Life

Guys, I stumbled into a job by accident. I didn't mean to. It just happened. 

Resting

Mondays are my busiest days. I have five different classes, and there's also a wonderful women's accountability group that I attend in the evening. It can get rather hectic, especially when I try to do everything at once. :)

Oversleeping and Oatmeal

This morning, my alarm and I had some serious issues. I think some counseling might be needed now by one or both involved parties ;)

Home Sweet Home!

Last Friday, I was blessed by some great friends who gave me a ride home. I had a great time with them, and it was so lovely to go home. I'd only been away for a week, but my mother and sister and I stayed up until almost 2:00 in the morning talking. I loved it! 

Discoveries

I'm going to be honest with y'all (see, I'm already southern ;)) : I have a ton of reading to do. After classes yesterday, I looked at all of my syllabi and felt overwhelmed. So I complained to my sister and whined to my mother, and then I decided to get to it. I grabbed a couple of books and trekked across campus to the library.

Beginnings

I thought that I was being brave when I joined seven other teens this summer and flew to Kenya. And maybe I was. Well-meaning family and friends worried over my safety, and I was just like, "God's still in control, and He wants me on this trip, so I'm going."
